You have spoken...

We can taste wines, suggest wines, promote wines, you name it - but at the end of the day you - the customers - give us the clearest indication of what you like.

Judging by the very well attended winter tasting (thanks for you support!) you clearly love our Rhone wines from La Ferme du Mont - we sold more Cotes du Rhone than any other wine.  And you're in good company since none other than Robert Parker has recently scored their Cote du Rhone and Gigondas at 89pts and 88pts repectively.  Very good ratings for such well priced wines.

We are also very pleased with the response to our new Italian wines - the nectarous Ben Ryé in particular.  But the most interest seemed to be generated by the Masi Corbec Apassimento Tupungato and its sister wine the Paso Doble.  Italian methods with Argentinian raw materials seem to be a hit.

Iberian Campaign

Tamsin has been in Spain recently sourcing some great wines from Spain and Portugal.  Some of you will have had a chance to try the Valdamor Albariño at our recent tasting - but that forms the merest advanced guard of what's coming.  We've got over twenty wines that Tamsin has chosen for a "closer look" so keep an eye on this website for more information.

Happy New Year

2008 is nearly upon us and it's going to be a big year for Two Rivers Wine.  Expect to see and hear a lot more about us in 2008.

Faverot Wine Dinner

We had a fantastic time on the the 5th December when François Faverot of Domaine Faverot spoke at our wine dinner hosted by Allium in Fairford, Glos.  The  lovely Faverot White from 2006 which shows a robust, balanced core with just a hint of ginger at the finish was very well matched to a delicious Salt Cod Escabeche.  Rabbit linguine formed the perfect foil to the every popular, rich, earthy, Le Mazet and a hearty Braised Sanglier was matched with an equally hearty Cuvée General.

The food, wines and atmosphere were perfect and many thanks to Erica, James and the team at Allium and, of course, to those of you who came.  We do hope you enjoyed the evening.  We'd like to get the next dinner arranged early in the new year to help lift the winter malaise.  Please let us know of any improvements you think could be made to the format.
